Boothby: The Fox and the Grapes

A Fox all efforts us'd in vain,
Some tempting clusters to obtain,
Which hung too high: "Yon Grapes," says he,
Are sour; I'll wait till ripe they be."
A common tribe this fable shews,
Who what they cannot reach, abuse.
